EU Green Capital Valencia will host 2024 edition of European Urban Resilience Forum
Crucial aspects of resilience, sustainable development and recovery will be under the thematic spotlight
All of its offices have already been filled, as well as more than half of common workspaces
Sibenik’s Triangle, an incubator for new technologies and a home for new generation entrepreneurs, started operating in early October last year. It attracted the attention of the professional and business community at the national level at the very opening. The centre was opened by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, in the presence of the Mayor of the City of Šibenik, Željko Burić, a partner from Microsoft, Algebra, In2 Group, Ericsson, and the Polytechnic of Šibenik.
Just last week, the centre turned 100 days old, registering massive success in such a short timespan.
Shortly after the opening, the "UV Ready" innovation project was presented in the Triangle. It is a system of UV lamps for disinfection of public spaces and tourist facilities, which were jointly developed by three Šibenik companies housed in the facility. It was then presented to the City Council and considered for implementation in the urban area.
Lectures, gatherings, presentations and workshops were attended by over five hundred participants. It is important to note that all events were organized in strict compliance with epidemiological measures and with very limited capacity, which was almost always filled, says director Diana Mudrinić. Thanks to modern technologies, lectures were broadcast live via social networks.
Business premises in the incubator are filling up faster than expected. All offices have been rented, while there are about a dozen vacancies left in the co-working space. A total of 18 companies with over 30 employees operate in the center. The move-in and the beginning of the work of the Algebra College are expected soon, which will further intensify the frequency of events in the center.
"The Triangle these days marks the first 100 days of its business. Thanks to its size, technological equipment and the concept of open space, it proved to be excellent for organizing meetings, presentations, workshops and lectures even in limited working conditions due to the pandemic. I believe that the Triangle will show its full potential in the upcoming period, and one of its goals is to enable a safer entrepreneurial start for young creatives, "said Mayor Željko Burić.
