Andrzej Nowakowski has been mayor of Plock since December 13, 2010.
He is a graduate of Polish Philology at the Nicolas Copernicus University in Toruń. For many years, he has been associated with the Władysław Jagiełło High School in Płock, where he worked as a qualified teacher of the Polish language and an educator of the youth.
From October 2002, he performed the function of Councillor of the town of Płock. He was a member of the Commission of Treasury and Budget. In the 2007-2010 period, he was a Sejm Deputy of the Republic of Poland, a member of the Commission of Sports and Tourism and the Commission for the European Union's Affairs.
Married with four children, he usually spends his spare time with his family. He likes sports, both as an active participant and as a sports fan – not only in front of his TV, but also on the stadium of Wisła Płock. His other interests include literature, theatre and cinema.
