Free personal training app for citizens of Zaragoza

What used to be a paid training content is accessible for free during lockdown

Top-quality personalised sports experience is offered for free to the citizens of Zaragoza, Spain. Thanks to municipal efforts, what used to be paid content of the Mootiv-Personal Trainer app will be accessible at no charge during the period of the COVID-19 lockdown, announced the local authorities.

Tailor-made training

The good news comes after the Zaragoza City Council, through the municipal company Zaragoza Deporte, reached an agreement with Vitale Intelligent Training System. Thanks to it, people from Zaragoza can access all their content, using the code

Furthermore, users have to complete their sports profile, set goals, select available material. This information will allow the intelligent personal trainer to propose the specific sessions, tailored to the individual needs of users.

Users can also request a personalized plan from a real personal trainer, who will be in charge of assigning them according to the defined profile and specific wishes.

The entirety of the functions of the app will remain free until the duration of the social isolation in Spain, caused by the coronavirus and some – will remain so after the pandemic threat is over.

A healthy lifestyle during the lockdown in Zaragoza

"Since the state of alarm was decreed, we have coordinated several actions aimed at promoting the practice of exercise from home, because maintaining healthy habits is essential for our physical and emotional well-being," explained the Councilor for Sports, Cristina García. "In this context, we have made a leap in quality with this agreement, which will allow Zaragoza citizens to have free access to a mobile application with enormous possibilities and suitable for all types of ages, levels and preferences," she added.

This initiative comes in addition to the portal #MueveteEnCasa, which Zaragoza Deporte has been promoting ever since lockdown was imposed. The framework aims to collect and give visibility to various practical alternatives, developed by different people and entities, so that boys, girls, the elderly and the adult population practice sport from their homes.
