EU Green Capital Valencia will host 2024 edition of European Urban Resilience Forum

The Cypriot municipality has prepared a long list of celebrations for every weekend of December
Phedonas Phedonos, Mayor of the Cypriot Municipality Paphos will switch on the Christmas lights today, kicking off a programme of celebrations in the town. The event will be marked with a free concert for all residents and visitors of Paphos.
The illumination of the Christmas decorations and lights will take place at Kennedy Square in the old town, at 7 pm. The municipality philharmonic orchestra and the school of fine arts will take part in the celebration.
Tomorrow, Saturday, 7th December, starting at 11 am and lasting until 4 pm, “Christmas Spirit” will take place at the historic Ibrahim’s Khan, in the heart of Paphos old town. The program of the day will offer various fun activities for both children and adults, including Santa Claus and the Elves, a magic show, an interactive Christmas Fairytale, Christmas crafts and songs, junior master chef and variety of Christmas delicacies.
On 14 December, the Khan will also host a “Chocolate Factory” which will open at 11 am. There will be a chocolate workshop and fountain, wine-tasting, food and drinks and a wide array of festive activities for children. Everyone will be also able to enjoy Christmas Carols performed by the municipality philharmonic orchestra from 11.30 am in the commercial centre of the town.
The Paphos Santa Run will take place on 15th December, and the municipality will hand out free Santa hats to all participants in the event. Runners will gather at Paphos town hall to set off at 10:30 am. As every year, there will be an entertainment programme with dancing and Christmas songs.
On 22 December at 5 pm and later at 7 pm, the Paphos municipality conservatory concert will take place at Apostolos Pavlos and Varnavas church hall. The annual Christmas celebrations of Paphos municipality will be held at the Markideio Theatre at 7 pm.
On Saturday, 28 December, at Kennedy Square there will be a presentation of traditional Cypriot customs of the Christmas 12-day period, plus a music and dance programme, the performance will start at 11 am.
On 31 December, at noon, the municipal orchestra will perform Christmas carols at the market.
