The new gathering point aims to bring life to a part of Copenhagen Harbour that has been deserted for years
BLOX is much more than a building; it is a new destination on Copenhagen’s harbor front. The characteristic building blocs construction houses a range of creative and cultural institutions and opened in the spring of 2018. It aims to promote the development and awareness of architecture and urban development as key agendas in society. Another ambition is for BLOX to become a magnet for urban life. A place where everybody is going to for lunch, to play with their kids or to enjoy the view of the harbour.
BLOX is home to the Danish Architecture Cente and the interdisciplinary innovation environment for global, sustainable urban development BLOXHUB. It houses also a fitness center, a public playground, 22 rental flats, a café, a restaurant with outdoor seating, a three-storey underground parking and a bookshop. Without any doubt, BLOX enriches the neighborhood with a new urban meeting place where people of all ages can meet.
