Cities and Schools can apply for the 2020 EU Health Award

Promotion of vaccination and healthy lifestyles among children and adolescents will be rewarded

The 2020 EU Health Award is now accepting applications. The award is given in the context of the EU Health Policy Platform. In 2020 the Award aims to honour cities and schools that positively impact their communities by promoting a healthy lifestyle among children, as well as NGOs, schools and kindergartens encouraging the vaccination of children.

Rules

Only initiatives and good practices that have taken place after 2017 or are currently taking place are eligible to apply. However, they must have been implemented for a period that is long enough for them to have demonstrated their positive impact before the moment of application.

The call for applications is open until 29 April 2020 at 11.00 in the morning, CET, Brussels time. They can be submitted on the webpages of the call on healthy lifestyles and the call on vaccination.

The actions to be rewarded are listed in the selection criteria applied in each of the two calls.

Who can apply?

The applicants must currently be working to either promote vaccination among children (up to 18 years of age, open to NGOs, schools and kindergartens) or healthy lifestyles among children (between 6 and 18 years of age, open to cities and schools).
