Drones come to the help of Danish agriculture

Drones come to the help of Danish agriculture

They help in the counting of pumpkins in the northern country

Denmark, one of the biggest producers of pumpkin in Europe, used the help of drones to count its procude for this year. The drones counted some 40,000 more pumpkins then originally expected. As autumn is the peak season for sales of the plant, not to mention Halloween approaching, this is good news for the farmers.

The count of the pumpkins is part of a project conducted by a group of researchers from the University of Southern Denmark. It emphasizes that technology can come to the help of agriculture so that farmers have a better assessment of how much exactly their fields have produced. The researchers have also won a grant from the Ministry of Environment to apply the technology on other crops across Denmark.
