“AI Finland & AI Day 2021: Reboot with AI” will combine two annual events and showcase the latest developments in artificial intelligence
Last week, the City of Espoo announced that it is working with Business Finland, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, and the Finnish Centre for Artificial Intelligence (FCAI) to host a joint virtual AI event: “AI Finland & AI Day 2021: Reboot with AI”. As its name suggests, it will combine two distinct events, namely the annual AI Finland and AI Day.
The AI Finland event – organised by Business Finland and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment – showcases the latest and upcoming developments in AI within the public sector, business, and research. The annual AI Day, on the other hand, is organised by FCAI and the Finnish Artificial Intelligence Association with the aim of bringing together researchers, public actors, and the scientific and business communities.
This year, the main theme of the joint flagship event is “Reboot with AI – Impact leadership and foresight with AI.” Moreover, there are several subthemes including space, quantum technology, health, 6G, regulation and ethics. The main organiser of the event and the Service Development Director of the City of Espoo Päivi Sutinen commented on the upcoming AI Finland & AI Day 2021:
“We want to inspire our partners to work together to develop a sustainable future through the opening up of artificial intelligence and data – and to invite new partners. The event will present the development and direction of artificial intelligence in research, companies and urban development. We are known for top-level speeches, panel discussions, networking and new openings.”
The event will take place virtually on 4 November from 9:30 to 18:00 (UTC+02:00). Everyone is welcome to register via the City of Espoo’s website and attend for free. During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to listen to speeches, join panel discussions, watch streams and network.
