European Mobility Week 2018 is focusing on “multimodality”

Using more sustainable transport methods will provide benefits for yourself and your city

After The European Commission announced the winners of the European Mobility Week Award 2017  announced last week (Vienna, Igoumenitsa and Turda), the public can focus on the upcoming awards. The theme for this years is "Multimodality" and the spotlight is on the the use of different modes for different trips. Embracing the concept of multimodality means rethinking the way we move about our cities, and having the willingness to try out new forms of mobility.

The future of transportation and mobility is as exciting and uncertain as it ever has been over the past 100 years. From a city’s perspective, it requires the political will to support alternative transport methods. Since 2002 European Mobility Week has sought to influence mobility and urban transport issues, as well as improve public health and quality of life.
