Projects must be in line with the municipality’s vision “Together we design life”
On Monday 5 July, the Danish Municipality of Kolding announced that it has set aside DKK 2 million (EUR 268,952) to help associations and businesses complete projects, initiatives, and ideas that will benefit society. This decision comes after the City of Kolding acknowledged that there are various excellent plans that cannot be implemented simply because organisations lack the financing to reach the finish line.
For this reason, the municipality will help businesses by giving them the last financial push which is needed for the completion and realisation of their goals. The purpose of the DKK 2 million financial aid is to promote growth and development in the city.
In a press release, the municipality explains that projects must meet certain criteria in order to be considered eligible for co-financing. First and foremost, associations must have already initiated their projects and proven their commitment to them. As such, lack of financing must be the only obstacle in their way.
Moreover, the projects must be in line with Kolding’s vision “Together we design life” and its four key strategies:
Finally, projects must have some form of self-financing and associations must have tried all other methods of financing before applying to receive aid from the municipality. Of course, aid will only be given for the realisation of projects that will better the lives of the public.
With its DKK 2 million budget, the municipality of Kolding seeks to lend a helping hand to businesses in the city. What is more, it wants to help save initiatives and projects which can significantly improve the lives of citizens. Thus, Kolding proves its dedication to supporting local businesses and investing in the city’s development.
