Motorcycle and moped drivers will not be allowed to drive without helmets
Motorcycle and moped drivers on the roads of Denmark soon may not be allowed to use their vehicles without wearing a helmet. This on the stage of being just a proposal for now, made by Danish transport and health ministers, Ole Birk Olesen and Ellen Trane Nørby. They also intend to eliminate exceptions as to why one can skip the helmet.
Rigth now, riders may obtain a medical certificate that allows them not to wear a helmet and it turns out that many drivers abuse the possibility. There have even been cases of claming claustrophobia in order to avoid the rule. If the proposal passes, it will take effect on January 1st 2019.
