For the first time in Romania, a regional Startup World Cup event was organized by Innowave Summit and Pegasus Tech Ventures. More than 300 startups have applied to enter the competition, and the champion will have the chance to compete with the world's best startups and win a $ 1,000,000 prize on September 30 in San Francisco.
Only 10 managed to qualify for the final in Romania. The competition was contested due to the variety of innovative startups in the field of IoT (Internet of Things), MedTech, Robotics, Smart Mobility, as well as the first prototype for an electric car made in Cluj-Napoca by AROBS Software.
Before the beginning of the presentations, our partners from Startup Masters made a demo-pitching in front of investors in order to encourage the startups and demonstrate to them the intricacies of presenting ideas.
The winner of the competition was the Romanian startup Nooka Space, which is designing the world's first network of terrestrial, mobile offices suitable for digital nomads, freelancers and entrepreneurs. Launched in late 2020, startup Nooka Space has a mission to create a global network of smart offices nearby and grow a community of consumers, thus contributing to the sustainable development of smart cities.
