The underground rapid transit lines have been under construction for almost two decades due to various project delays
They have become a favorite spot for pictures of all residents and guests of the Bulgarian city
With more than three million new flowers, Municipal Enterprise "Gardens and parks" made the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv more beautiful and attractive for the summer, announced the Municipality. The flowers planted are replacing the autumn and spring species that were decorating the city until now. In urban parks and gardens, circular junctions, flower pots, and pedestrian zones, and many other places, beautiful floral figures are being drawn throughout the city. Since the beginning of 2019, over 3,000 new bush roses have also been planted. With many new flowers, the pedestrian zones on the Maritsa-South and Knyaginya Maria Louisa boulevards have been upgraded. These areas have been renovated thanks to the implementation of the European project under the Operational Program "Regions in Growth".
Again, this summer, one of the main attractions for residents and guests of the city of Plovdiv are the pyramids and hanging baskets full of colorful petunia flowers. They have already become the preferred background for photos of passers-by on the Main Street, the Kamenitsa Stairs, Tsar Simeon's Garden, the Kapana District and other favourite walking spots for people of all ages.
