The funding aims to revive and support small trade in the districts
The Local Council of Sevilla will be funding 26 projects of associations and federations of traders within the strategy for support of the trade in the neighbourhoods. On Friday the local government of the Spanish city has signed an agreement with the Chamber of Commerce. The agreement foresees the incorporation of a list of emblematic establishments in the administrative procedures so that those businesses that are part of it can access bonuses, financial aid, promotional campaigns or a special treatment by regulations and municipal ordinances.
The programme has the objective to establish mechanisms of support for merchant associations throughout the city and implement specific actions to promote their activity, help them attract customers and modernize themselves. Additionally in 2019 there will be projects rolled out in the neighbourhoods led by the associations. In this year’s call, there have been 26 approved proposals for a total funding of 199,561 euros. Some of them include advertising and promotion campaigns to attract new customers, merchandising, dynamization of social networks and websites, strategies for modernization and digital transformation or promotion of associations between businesses.
A list of 26 beneficiary associations is publicly accessible on the website of the Local Council of Sevilla.
