Thanks to €410,000 in EU funding
Hungarian company AQUIS Innovo specialises in smart urban infrastructure, IT in public transport and customer service solutions. It is now developing a multifunctional bus stop with EU funding around €410,000. The Smart Bus Stop provides up-to-date traffic information, while allowing passengers to perform everyday tasks like paying bills, sending parcels or topping up phones. The stop transforms waiting areas into fully equipped service centres.
Smart Bus Stops can be customised with a range of facilities. These include emergency call boxes, defibrillators, fire extinguishers, parcel delivery, bill payment and mobile top-up services, as well as direct phone links to taxi companies. They also feature traffic monitoring systems to improve scheduling and devices for measuring pollen count and noise levels. By improving the public transport experience for passengers, these new bus stops could lay the foundations for smarter, more environmentally friendly cities.
