In order to make the event truly exceptional, the organizers are looking for 300 singers of all abilities - men and women - to perform at this 1-time show.
Visitors to the special event will enjoy the concert while singing along to traditional Dutch and English carols in the municipal building. The concert will be held under the inspiring leadership of the conductor and pianist Gregor Bak with a guest appearance by Francis van Broekhuizen, one of the most versatile sopranos in the Netherlands.
You can register or find out more information on the conditions to join the Christmas Choir via the website kerstsingalong.nl. It is important to know that the choir will be holding its rehearsals on the evenings of Tuesday, 3 December and Tuesday, 10 December as well as the afternoon of Saturday, 14 December and participants are required to be present at all three rehearsals.
As for those who would like to get into the festive mood from the side, it is possible to visit the event by purchasing and presenting a ticket or by watching it on TV, as it will be livestreamed by local media.
Gregor Bak has studied musicology at the University of Utrecht. Later he worked as a music teacher, pianist, composer and conductor. Since 1993 he has been the conductor of the Ural Cossack Choir.
As for the ensemble, Uzory comes from Mykolaiv, a city in southern Ukraine. The event promises to be an evening filled with extremely rich cultural experiences so do not miss the chance to book your ticket in time.
