From Saturday 15 December 2018 until Sunday 3 March 2019, see the breathtaking world of crystal clear ice and shimmering snow. The theme of the Dutch Ice Sculptures Festival this year is: "World Famous Stories". This is the biggest edition ever with 275 000 kilos of ice and 275 000 kilos of snow have been used to create the musically inspired statues.
Visitors could experience the worldwide famous stories in ice such as Romeo and Juliet, the Three Musketeers, Robin Hood, Allice in Wonderland, Harry Potter, Winnie the Pooh, Tarzan and others. There will be more than 100 ice sculptures up to 6 meters high. Extremely popular, the festival is expecting 150000 visitors. It’s a family-friendly festival with special activities for the little ones such as a slide carved from ice!
