Every February, Menton, a coastal town on the French Riviera, hosts the Fête du Citron (Lemon Festival). The delightful event includes a series of exhibitions and parades featuring fabulous citrus fruit creations. The 2018 Lemon Festival runs from February 17th to March 4th, and some of the most spectacular displays can be seen in the Jardins Biovès.
The Lemon Festival is a unique event in the world, that attracts 240,000 visitors every year and the number is constantly rising. More than 300 professionals work on the project and 145 tons of citrus fruits are used. Some of the main events are The Exhibition of Citrus Patterns, The Golden Fruit Parades, The Gardens of Lights and the Night-time Parades.
