Votes for Women at the Museum of London

Don’t miss the special exhibition honoring the 100th anniversary of the women's right to vote

Votes for Women displays at the Museum of London forms part of the national commemorations marking the centenary of the 1918 Act that gave some women the right to vote for the first time. Dedicated to those who campaigned tirelessly for over 50 years to achieve votes for women, the exhibition features iconic objects from the Museum’s vast Suffragette collection, including Emmeline Pankhurst’s hunger strike medal, Louise Eates' pendant, Emily ‘Kitty’ Willoughby Marshall’s necklace and Suffragette poster parade.

View also the Museum of London’s special film dedicated to lesser-known suffrage stories until Janyary 6. The movie reflects on the contemporary relevance of the militant campaign that continues to inspire, shock and divide opinion. Groups of 10 or more are asked to book their free visit in advance.
