XVIII Science and Innovation Week in Spain

XVIII Science and Innovation Week in Spain

Hundreds of institutions and scientists will gather in Madrid in November in order to promote scientific advancements

The Science and Innovation Week in Madrid is taking place between November 5th and 18th and is one of the most important events for dissemination of scientific advancements in Europe. Its objective is to bring science and technology closer to citizens, especially young people, to promote scientific vocations, entrepreneurship and creativity, while eliminating gender barriers. It welcomes more than 600 institutions with an offer that exceeds 1,000 free activities for all audiences and involves 3,000 scientists.

The program promises to be very diverse and intellectually stimulating. Workshops on back pain will allow the participants to draw a map of their pain, to hear an explanatory talk and take part in relaxation practices and mind control exercises. Attendees can learn the geometry and graphs from the real world, as well as how mathematics helps us make decisions. A microbiology lab led by the researcher Elie Dahdouh will unveil the latest trends in paediatric transplantations. These and many other activities can be attended for free upon preliminary reservation. The organizing institutions of each event are already accepting reservations, as well as a dedicated app, which also operates for the purpose.
