Brigitte Fouré was born in 1955 in Amiens. She studied law at Amiens (University of Picardie Jules Verne) and obtained the Certificate of Proficiency to the profession of lawyer in 1978. She also holds a DEA of general private law (1978) and a DEA of theory and practice of criminal law (1979) obtained at the University Panthéon-Assas Paris II. She became assistant in private law at the University of Picardy in 1979 before being appointed lecturer.
Her political career began during her university years, when she advocated for the National Interuniversity Union. Brigitte Fouré was a Member of the European Parliament from January 10, 2008 to July 13, 2009, Mayor of Amiens between June 2002 and March 2007, Councilor of the Agglomeration Community Amiens Métropole, Regional Councilor of Picardy and General Councilor of the Somme.
Brigitte Fouré is Mayor of Amiens since April 4, 2014 (she was re-elected in 2020), Second Vice-President of Amiens Métropole delegated to staff since April 17, 2014, Eighth Vice-President of the Association of Mayors of major cities of France since May 20, 2014, General Secretary of the UDI since December 3, 2014, First Vice-President of the Regional Council of Hauts-de-France in charge of the merger, general administration, legal affairs, staff, dialogue with the unions since January 4, 2016.
On January 1, 2007, she was elevated to the rank of Chevalier of the Legion of Honor by the President of the Republic Jacques Chirac.
She is also decorated with the order of Palmes académiques, at the rank of officer.
