He was General Director of a company linked to the financial, consulting and accounting sector, a banking professional in the area of Corporate Risk Management, and Financial Auditor for the corporate sector.
His political career included being the Vice-President of the Regional Government of Madeira, between 2017 and 2021, Vice-President of the Municipality of Funchal, between 2012 and 2013, having previously held the position of Councilor, responsible for finance (2005 to 2012).
Pedro Calado is married and the father of four children: two boys and two girls.
Since June 2019, Mayor of Funchal is Miguel Silva Gouveia. He has a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico of the Technical University of Lisbon, with a postgraduate degree in Business Management.
Gouveia previously worked as an electrical engineer in the area of energy network management, where he was a Coordinator at the Madeira Electricity Company.
