A catacomb fresco in Naples to be restored

The restoration will be funded by an Italian ham company

The fresco in the San Gennaro catacombs in Naples will be restored with the financial help of an Italian ham company. The catacombs date back to the second century BC and compose an enormous underground maze with tombs. There, is the tomb of San Gennaro - the patron saint of Naples.

Work will begin in January and continue for the next two years. The Italian ham company Parmacotto had allocated 30,000 euros for the restoration project.
