Since 2004, Germany’s largest photo festival shows the entire spectrum of historical and contemporary photography in Berlin every two years. More than 100 museums, galleries and other venues present photographic art at the largest photo festival in Germany. This year’s edition will be held between 28 September and 31 October. Works of over 500 photographers will be on display at European Month of Photography festival.
There will be lectures, artist talks and discussions with internationally renowned photographers, curators, media experts, archivists and publicists as well as performances, live acts, and workshops for adults, children and young people. The range of exhibitions in 2018 extends from historical photographs by Nathan Lerner to photo icons of the international music scene, self-portraits by Cindy Sherman to documentary photographs from geopolitical crisis areas such as the Syrian Aleppo.
