The theme for 2018 is “Protect the Color of Planet Earth! It’s the Only One with Chocolate!”
From 23 February to 18 March, the International Festival of Chocolate in Óbidos (Festival Internacional de Chocolate de Óbidos) returns for yet another month of chocolate. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 8 pm kids and adults can enjoy many chocolate and sweets workshops and lectures. The ticket for adults cost 6.50 euro. Children up to 11 years enter for free.
The program for 2018 includes chocolate tastings, chocolate culinary delights, classes, and many more activities. Visitors could even watch how famous chefs construct chocolate sculptures and see a fashion show of garments made from chocolate. The theme for 2018 is “Protect the Color of Planet Earth! It’s the Only One with Chocolate!” The slogan could sound a bit funny, but in fact the festival shines a light also on the responsible consumption of all the foods we grow, buy, prepare and eat.
