Bruxelles est connue comme la capitale de l'Europe grâce à la présence des principales institutions européennes sur son territoire. De plus, son économie axée principalement sur les services est généralement associée aux entreprises, et non à l'agriculture. Toutefois, cela ne signifie pas nécessairement que l'on est privé de la possibilité de pratiquer son hobby de cultiver des plantes ou de préparer sa propre nourriture naturelle, comme à la campagne : grâce à une stratégie régionale GoodFoodBrussels, les résidents de la Région Bruxelles-Capitale peuvent apprendre à produire des fruits et des légumes à la maison, sur le balcon, dans le jardin ou ailleurs.
Les ateliers gratuites sur les fondements de l’agriculture organisés dans le cadre de la coopération entre la Région de Bruxelles-Capitale, Apis Bruoc Sella et Tournesol-Zonnebloem, ont débuté en février et se poursuivront jusqu'à la fin du mois de novembre. Ils seront répartis en treize thèmes différents variant en fonction de la saison et dureront environ trois heures. Ils représentent une opportunité magnifique d'apprendre à cultiver sans pesticides, à bien utiliser les outils de jardinage et à utiliser tout type de surface dans un espace aussi petit que 1 mètre carré.
