A project funded at 80% rate by the European Union (ERDF) is going to build a data-driven and responsive IT-system aimed at establishing environment-friendly urban mobility. The partnership between public entities, private businesses and transport providers was launched in February and is now expected to bring positive changes before January 2021 when the project ends. A main target of the project activities are the employees, since their daily commute turns them into the biggest car-dependent social group.
The project activities preview the development of data management process to analyse the complex urban mobility behaviour. The data will be collected with smart phone applications - the SASMob Response. SASMob will set a unique governance system for the EU aiming to establish a private sector’s commitment for low environmental impact mobility, which is called the Employers Mobility Pledge of SASMob, as well as to assemble a toolbox of behavioural change campaigns, by bringing excellent European practices under one umbrella.
