Italy has one of the EU's highest level of youth unemployment

Young, educated and unemployed

Even thought in the end of 2017, the unemployment rate in Italy has reached its lowest level since September 2012, the problem with the youth unemployment is still one of the most significant problems in the country.

Youth unemployment rate is high and there aren’t enough jobs. Frustrating statistic shows that 2,500 young Italians compete for one job. Almost one in five young Italians, are neither employed, job-seeking, nor in full-time study. Because of this, many young people left no choice but to stay at home and rely on family, or leave the country in search of work.
