LabCampus – the new high-tech hub at Munich Airport

The visionary project will foster cooperation between companies and industries by bringing together leading experts, companies – from start-ups to global players, creative minds and investors

Munich Airport is about to embark on a unique, future-focused project. The location is a decisive advantage for the project - there are 150000 people at Munich Airport every day including passengers, employees and visitors who are potential customers, business partners and visitors for LabCampus. Aerospace, digitalisation, energy and mobility will be just some of the areas industry experts will focus on at the new high-tech campus in Munich Airport.

The first section of the business park is scheduled to be completed in two and a half years time and the expectations are high - 5000 new jobs. The airport will finance the project  with expected costs of around 400 million euro. Potential key partners include such companies as Siemens and Design Offices and research organizations including the Fraunhofer Institute, Friedrich Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and UnternehmerTUM, the start-up incubator of the Technical University of Munich.
