The underground rapid transit lines have been under construction for almost two decades due to various project delays
The event will take place at the National Museum of Natural History and Science and at the Botanical Garden of Lisbon
If you still do not have plans for April 7, we have an idea for you: the Lisbon Health Fair. On World Health Day, the National Museum of Natural History and Science and the Botanical Garden of Lisbon will promote healthy living habits through screenings, conversations, open classes, workshops, concerts, theater, healthy street food stalls and even a mental health book fair.
The entrance, as well as all the activities, are entirely free. The initiative runs from 10 am to 7 pm. The idea of the fair is to raise public awareness and promote advance care planning as health behavior change. Through out the whole day there will be activities for the whole family - from the youngest to the oldest.
For the kids there will be organized a role-playing game called Hospital for children. The idea is to reduce the anxiety that kids feel when they go to the doctor. There will be also a healthy picnic set up specially for them. Several workshops, including balance training exercises and muscle strength training, specially designed for seniors, are included in the programme.
The general programme starts at 10 am with a walk through the garden and continues with basic life support workshop, yoga class, hip hop session, talk about breastfeeding, biodanza class and many more. Check the full programme here.
