Un compromiso con la movilidad equitativa
A finales de esta semana, TMB, el operador del metro de Barcelona, informó a la ciudadanía que habrá mejoras drásticas en términos de accesibilidad en sus trenes de las líneas 1 y 3, a partir de 2022. Así lo anunció junto con las autoridades competentes del Ayuntamiento preocupadas por la mejora social, así como con organizaciones representativas de los intereses de las personas con discapacidad en la ciudad.
TMB ha contratado, mediante concurso público, el suministro de 50 trenes a Alstom, que los está fabricando en la planta de Santa Perpètua de Mogoda con el compromiso de entregarlos entre el verano de 2021 y noviembre de 2022. La entrega inicial constará de 42 unidades, y en 2023 de 8 unidades adicionales. Serán 26 de ancho internacional, que formarán la serie 7000 y estarán destinados a la Línea 3, y 24 de ancho ibérico que formarán la serie 8000 y darán servicio a la Línea 1.
