A sports area, a park, streets and a kindergarten are being built
Due to the coronavirus pandemic in the Bulgarian municipality of Bansko, the activities for the implementation of all current projects were limited. However, this has not stopped the local administration to renovate and build a number of sites that will change and develop the appearance of the town.
The Municipality of Bansko informed that the repairs of the sports ground on Bulgaria Street and the rehabilitation of Dame Gruev, Eltepe, Mingyo Todev and Gladstone Streets have already been completed. The construction of Naiden Gerov Street is in progress, through which the southern part of the town will be connected with the road leading to the town of Gotse Delchev. It is expected to be ready by the end of the year.
The implementation of the project "Improving the energy efficiency of administrative buildings in the Municipality of Bansko" has also started. The investment for it comes from the coffers of the State Agriculture Fund.
"Reconstruction of part of the PLG sports ground" is in the process of implementation. Thanks to this project, the sports facility should be ready by the end of next month.
Another important infrastructural project, which will start in a few days, is the construction of a sewerage system on Glazne Street. Its implementation is scheduled to be completed in about two and a half months.
At the moment, Glazne, Tsar Simeon and Bulgaria Streets are being rehabilitated under a contract and financing from the rural development program. The municipality clarified that it must co-finance a number of activities under this project.
The object of special expectations by the residents of Bansko is the project "Building a new kindergarten" worth BGN 1 206 443.00 with VAT. The construction activities have been completed, but it cannot be put into operation due to the non-contractual means for the installation of an elevator. Another 200 000 BGN will be needed for this facility as well as for the equipment of entertaining and service premises.
The construction activities under the project “Overhaul of the existing green areas, park lighting and alley network around the lake in a town park in Bansko” worth BGN 925 578.00 with VAT have been completed. The lake is about to be filled with water and the facilities are being tested.
