Rail Baltica will link Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania

The strategic infrastructure project must be finalized by 2025

On January 31, the prime ministers of the three Baltic countries signed an agreement on the implementation of the Rail Baltica, wich will connect Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The common agreement includes technical standarts, deadlines, route, financing and cooperation with Poland and Finland.

The strategic infrastructure project must be completed by 2025. The next step is to send the deal to the parliaments of the three countries for ratification. It will be essential also to ensure support for Rail Baltica in the EU budget after 2020.
