The forth season of the New Forest of Sofia will begin soon. Hundreds of volunteers in three afforesting seasons planted 20,000 new trees. Climate-resistant trees are planted, such as silver linden and red oak. The species have been chosen by experts from the University of Forestry. Starting from 6th of April, every Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 4pm planting will take place given that the weather allows.
For the convenience of all who want to get involved in the planting, Sofia Municipality has provided a special bus line №56A. The starting point is Vardar metro station, and the last - the New forest of Sofia. The bus runs between 9am and 4pm with an hour and a half interval.
