El Congreso de los Diputados adoptó ayer un Real Decreto-ley especial para la creación del Fondo COVID-19. Con 275 votos a favor, se confirmó la decisión del Consejo de Ministros de hace un mes de ayudar a todas las economías regionales a oponerse a la crisis.
La ayuda será gestionada por el Ministerio de Hacienda. Su objetivo es mostrar el compromiso de Madrid con todos los gobiernos regionales. La administración central quiere asumir la carga que se desencadenó por la pandemia en todos los sectores de la vida y en todas partes del país.
La cantidad de 16 mil millones de euros representa el mayor apoyo financiero que el gobierno nacional haya dado a las comunidades autónomas. Se considera una inyección de efectivo necesaria para las regiones que han estado luchando con ingresos reducidos debido a la economía estancada en los últimos meses.

El Fondo COVID-19 representa la mayor porción de ayuda gubernamental para las regiones, pero habrá más. Cada año, el Ministerio de Hacienda redistribuye entregas a cuenta a las comunidades autónomas. Este año, estas también subirán a un total de casi 8.000 millones de euros.
