The European Commission will invest 8 billion in 10 EU Member States

They are Bulgaria, Czechia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Malta, Poland, Portugal and Romania

On 2 April 2019, the European Commission adopted a package of 25 major projects worth over 8 billion euros with an EU contribution of 4 billion from Cohesion Policy to support health, energy, environment, ITC, research and transport in 10 EU Member States: Bulgaria, Czechia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Malta, Poland, Portugal and Romania.

Czechia:

  • Silnice I/11 Nebory - Oldřichovice – Bystřice road construction (Phase II)
  • Modernisation of Railwayline Rokycany-Pilzen, phase II

  • Modernisation of the Friedrich-Schiller-University campus

Greece:

  • Public Sector Network "Syzefxis II"
  • Interconnection Crete – Peloponnese

Hungary:

  • Upgrading of M0 Southern Sector of Budapest Ring Road

Italy:

  • Segway of the Circumetnea "Stesicoro-Aeroporto" railway

Malta:

  • Towards a net zero impact Water Utility – Ensuring Integrated Water Resource Management

Poland:

  • Deepening of the approach fairway and internal areas of the Port of Gdynia
  • Construction of S7 express road, section Warszawa – Grójec
  • Construction of S3 express road, section Legnica – Lubawka
  • Construction of A2 motorway, section Warszawa (Lubelska junction) - Mińsk Mazowiecki
  • Construction of Olsztyn by-pass along national road No 16
  • Modernisation of breakwaters in the North Harbour in Gdansk
  • Construction of the Wielkopolska Children's Health Centre with its equipment
  • Equipment for University Hospital Kraków – Prokocim
  • Construction of the Szczecin Metropolitan Railway
  • Accelerate comfortably - modernisation of wagons and purchase of locomotives for PKP Intercity
  • Purchase of 16 five-parts Electric-Multiple Units by Mazovian Railway

Portugal:

  • Northern Line: modernisation of the Ovar-Gaia sction, II phase

Romania:

  • Integrated Road Infrastructure Network for the Bucharest Orbital Area
  • Protection and Rehabilitation of the Coastal Areas – Phase II
  • Regional project for the development of water and waste water infrastructure in Timis county
  • Improvement of urban public transport services by Metro on Metro Line 2. Berceni – Pipera, Phase 2.
