Founded in 1964 as Berliner Jazztage, the Jazzfest Berlin is one of Europe's oldest and most renowned festivals of its kind. Among its guests have been big names such as Miles Davis, Charles Mingus and Duke Ellington. The Jazzfest Berlin is part of the Berliner Festspiele.
Jazzfest Berlin 2018 will be held from 1st to 4th of November. This year, the festival starts on 1 November at Haus der Berliner Festspiele with an over 5-hour concert that makes the entire "Haus of Jazz" resound with nine acts on a total of five stages.
