Access City Award is once again looking to distinguish forward-looking cities
The 15th edition of the competition will grant 350,000 euros to three European cities that have removed barriers to accessibility on their territories
Астрономическият часовник е достъпен отново за туристи след 9-месечен ремонт
През януари известният Астрономически часовник на пражкия площад Староместки намести беше затворен за ремонт за пръв път от 30 години, разглобен на части, за да бъде поправен в специална работилница. Въпреки че на всеки 10 години му се прави профилактика, часовникът не е спирал да работи за толкова дълго след Втората световна война, когато е сериозно повреден. За радост на туристите, той вече работи преди очакваното откриване.
Сградата на общината в Стария град е открита през 1338-ма година, като дом на общинската администрация. Астрономическият часовник е поставен през началото на 15-ти век. Към общинската сграда е изградена каменна камера за часовниковия механизъм. Астрономическият часовник показва посоката на Слънцето и Луната и е познат като най-старият работещ астрономически часовник. Уникалният часовник има календар и астрономическо табло, но вероятно най-атрактивният му елемент е движещият се механизъм на Дванадесетте апостоли. Те са придружени от други любопитни фигури, като тази на Смъртта. На всеки кръгъл час стотици туристи и местни жители се възхищават на спектакъла на „Разходката на апостолите”.
