The Urban Future Global Conference 2020 is coming to Lisbon next April, and as we have previously mentioned, TheMayor.EU has partnered up with the organizers to provide you with everything you need to know about the event.
The event will be held between 1 April 2020 and 3 April 2020 and it will boast tons of workshops, activities, sessions and lectures. During the first couple of days of the Urban Future Global Conference 2020, visitors will have the opportunity to listen to experts and stakeholders discuss issues related to urban mobility and public transport, water scarcity, neighbourhood development, citizen engagement and collaboration between cities.
Other highlights in the event include talks and discussions on the role that cities should and already do play in the fight against climate change as well as the financing of sustainable initiatives and policies. Other panels also focus on how urban areas can change and adapt in order to protect themselves from the changing environment and how they can deal with the fallout of climate change.
On the third and final day of the event, organisers are eager to invite participants to outdoor sessions and walks – named Field Trip Friday. Explore Lisbon and its surroundings alongside renowned experts and learn how the Portuguese capital deals with floods, promotes cycling and changes with the times. You can check out the entirety of the programme here.
If you’re interested in taking part in the event, don’t forget to get your tickets from the website. As avid readers of TheMayor.EU, you’re also entitled to a discount – if you’re interested don’t hesitate to write to us at office@themayor.eu.
