Access City Award is once again looking to distinguish forward-looking cities
The 15th edition of the competition will grant 350,000 euros to three European cities that have removed barriers to accessibility on their territories

El 13 de abril, el Delegado Provincial de Agricultura de Albacete, Ramón Sáez, realizó una visita a la sede de AgriSat Iberia en la misma ciudad. Esto fue una muestra de apoyo y aliento para la empresa pionera, que se especializa en la introducción de soluciones digitales para el sector agrícola.
El funcionario también recordó la Orden del Gobierno de Castilla-La Mancha, que amplió el alcance de las ayudas económicas para incluir una mayor variedad de proyectos punteros en ese sector.
Conocida por Don Quijote e interminables llanuras, Castilla-La Mancha ha sido tradicionalmente una región altamente dependiente de la producción de cereales, uvas y aceitunas para su bienestar económico. Es así, junto con Andalucía, vista como el granero del país ibérico.
El Sr. Sáez señaló la utilidad del nuevo orden sobre ayudas en el sector agroalimentario, ya que tiene como objetivo estimular la cooperación innovadora entre diferentes partes interesadas para la implementación de proyectos audaces. AgriSat Iberia está estudiando actualmente cuáles de sus proyectos pueden optar a la línea de ayudas autonómicas, que anteriormente solo se ofrecían para iniciativas de mejora de la sanidad animal y vegetal.
“Este tipo de iniciativas, tan importantes para el desarrollo y el futuro del territorio, que apuestan de forma clara por el I+D+i, cuentan con todo el apoyo del Gobierno regional,” añadió el Delegado Provincial.
En cuanto a la propia empresa, se calificó como una referencia a nivel nacional en cuanto a tecnología de teledetección por satélite. Este tipo de aplicaciones, desarrolladas en colaboración con la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, permiten a los agricultores obtener información detallada y constantemente actualizada en forma de mapas sobre diferentes aspectos, mostrando por ejemplo qué tan bien están creciendo las plantas en diferentes partes del campo, o qué tan bien regado están los campos.
